Cold and dreary day
The weekend was really nice. Sometimes it's just nice to get away. I need to upload all the pictures to Flickr yet. It was great seeing my brother and his family and celebrating my dad's birthday. Needless to say he was shocked when my brother showed up at the house on Friday night. It just got better from there. My dad's church musical was awesome and I am so proud of him for doing what he did. He did way better than I expected.
I'm off today and enjoying my time off. It sucks that it's cold and gray and dreary out but hey, I don't control the weather. Brayden was supposed to be here today but he got a cold and has to go to the doctor and be cleared medically to travel. So we're just waiting for that to happen. It should be lots of fun. Lots of work...but lots of fun.
Donita is just uber excited about it. She and her husband will be adopting him (if I didn't mention that here already). We can't wait to make their lifelong dream come true of having a baby. We just want him to get here already!
I can't believe that Christmas is so close. I hate to say it but I'm not excited about it at all. Maybe I'll get there. I kinda get bah humbug every year I must admit and this year is no different. I guess we'll see. I have a tree up though, that's more than I can say about some years.
