The crazies are out today
Damn, haven't updated since Christmas Eve. Needless to say, Christmas was wonderful! But pretty much my Christmas was over when I last updated.
Work has been CRAZY~ Today I floated to another unit and it was CRAZY! People trying to get up and out of bed when they can't, having to sit with some so they couldn't get out of bed, one confused lady calling me mean and nasty (which if you saw me with patients you would KNOW that's not true) and one cutie patootie little guy who is 91 years old. It was kinda fun doing something different but thanks, I'm good now. Every day I work somewhere else....it makes me KNOW I want to be an OB nurse. So I guess it's good for something!
I got hired at a different place for an intermittent job today. I had an interview originally but then it was postponed because the gal interviewing me had sick kids, we played phone tag forever and couldn't get an interview even set up. My sister called me today and told me I was hired! WITHOUT AN INTERVIEW!!! It's crazy, I know. But they know her well and she does a wonderful job and my mom and step-dad both retired from there after being there for YEARS. So I guess they must think I'm okay. I can pretty much work whenever I want and the money is WAY better. We shall see how it goes. I know they want me to go full-time. And unless they are deliverin babies there, HELL NO!
My sister will be on my floor next week. She's having a hysterectomy. Luckily I"m off the two days she'll be there so I'm gonna spend lots of time up there with her. Although I'm not worried in the least because I know she'll have great nurses and she's in a great place to be taken care of.
Oh, I'm not distracted by "Seinfeld". It does that to me every time.
I'd better run along. I'm gonna hit the hay very soon.
