The hospital is NOT the Hilton 2102-01-01 12:28 a.m. It's been a few rough days around here. My sister went in and had her hysterectomy yesterday. Things went well all afternoon. She had an epidural and she was good to go. Until she started itching something horrible (a side affect from the medication in the epidural) so they gave her Narcan which reduces the affect of the epidural to stop the itching. Except when your epidural wears off, your pain starts to kick in. Her back was starting to hurt as well has her abdomen. She was having a rough night so I decided to stay the night with her (she did it for me three years ago). Let me tell you, it sucked. But I was happy to do it. She was so frustrated by morning she was sobbing when the nurse came in with another blanket. She hates to bother people or seem like a pest and I'm all helllll no, hit that nurse call light and get what you need. I barely slept. I was sleeping in this small vinyl recliner anyway. It probably got about 2 1/2 hours of sleep and that wasn't consecutive. She got some oral pain pills around 5:00 AM and went for a walk (even though she wasn't supposed to). She finally got to sleep and BOOM lights on and Lab came in to draw blood. By then she was crying. I went home around 7:15 or 7:30 so she could get some sleep. Her doctor took out her packing, her IV was hep-locked and she got up to shower. She slept off and on most of the day. I zonked the hell out around 2:00 this afternoon and got up about 5:15. I needed that!!! We had her kids over today for supper and hanging out afterwards. Her oldest Keithen is spending the night with us tonight. He's the same age as Cass and they fight like brother and sister. Although I've seen him stick up for her just like a protective brother would too. It's very cute. School starts next week for me and Cass. I'm okay with going back to school. Probably because I'm totally cool about the classes I'm taking. Oh crap I forgot the most important thing of the day! Today I got a letter in the mail from the City Attorney. Apparently the city is suing L.F. over the disturbing the peace complaint I made back in October. Which first of all is funnier than hell. Court is on January 16th at 3:00 and they asked me to show up as a witness. It just so happens I have to work that day so I can't be there. But I called the city attorney's office today and told them I'd be more than happy to give a statement or whatever I needed to do. Fry his ass! Not that he'd go to jail for playing his music too loud but I bet he'll have to pay some fines and you know he's having to pay an attorney for all of this. You do the crime, you pay the time buddy. Guess your lazy ass shoulda turned down the music when we asked huh? *snicker* K it's late and I need to hit the hay.
