He's bringing sexy back!!! 2007-03-09 9:01 p.m. What a day. Here it is 9:00 Friday night and I feel like this day has flown.

Cut to last night. We pick up Cass from school and get on the road for the 2.5 hour trip to go see Justin and Pink. We stop in Lincoln to eat supper and we went to this place called King Kong. They have burgers and other Greek food. Yeah. Not so good. The burgers were dry and big and I don't know, I just wasn't that into it. But whatever, I got fed and that's the important thing.

We finally pulled into Omaha and made our way to the venue. Jax dropped me off outside the Will Call and I ran in to get my tickets. I was stoked when she handed me those tickets. I knew the night was about to begin. We drove by the bus and trailer and it was then and there we knew this would be a nice we wouldn't soon forget.

That's Cass in front of it. There was also a trailer that was hitched to the back of the bus.

I of course had to do my secret ninja moves because not only did the tickets say no cameras but there were signs all over the venue saying that PLUS people walking up and down the lines saying no cameras either and so I knew I had find a way to get it in. *cue Mission Impossible music*. My kid who is like one of the most moral people I know THREW A FIT because her mother was doing something illegal and feared we were going to be booted from the concert and be held in "concert jail" which I had to admit, did make me laugh. So we get in fine, which I doubted for a bit because the line we got in the lady was frisking everybody and if she frisked me, she was going to find the huge bulge in my right pocket. But alas me made it in.

We found our seats and here is what the stage looked like pre-concert.

We waited a bit and then Pink came on stage. She was good. She is little. You always see they are little on TV but it's a bit different when you see them in person. She sang the songs I loved and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

She performed for about an hour and then there was probably a good half hour of break before Justin Timberlake. But let me tell you, it was worth every minute of waiting!!!

And although it's a bit fuzzy (I was in the nosebleed section!) Timbaland showed up and did his thang!

These pictures don't do it any justice of course. But it was sick. He had some awesome laser lights and that was fun.

He played for almost 2.5 solid hours. All in all it was a great night, one Cass and I will never forget.

We left Omaha and stopped and ate at IHOP in Lincoln. We rolled out of there at 1:00 AM. We knew it was going to be a short ass night for all parties involved. Finally about 45 minutes from home Jax was done. She couldn't drive anymore so I took over. The only thing that kept me awake was turning up my Pink CD and singing the words at the top of my lungs. Although it was annoying as hell to the other passengers, it was all I could do to stay awake.

We rolled into town and got home around 2:45. We were all exhausted beyond belief. Cassidy slept in her clothes. I zonked out only to wake up around 4 AM with another god damned reflux attack. It happens every so often and I knew it was going to happen as I was already feeling erpy when I went to sleep. Sure enough I woke up gasping for breath, burping and trying to recover from almost throwing up. (Reflux is basically the acid coming back up and you wake up when you start to throw up. It's not fun, trust me.)

Cass had to be up at 6:00 this morning to get ready for her trip to Lincoln to sing at the state Capitol. She was exhausted and emotional and God bless her for doing it. In all of her 12 years she's never stayed up like this and had to endure a long grueling day. But she says it was worth it and that takes some of the guilt off of me. But in my defense, we bought those tickets LONG before we knew she'd be singing the next day.

And it's Friday night and I'm almost ready to hit the hay because I work all weekend. I'm sure she's tucked in by now and snoozing. And I sure hope her father lets her sleep in tomorrow late because she's exhausted.

So that's the recap of my night. It was very fun, very late, and very exhausting.

But Justin Timberlake? Come on! He's worth it!!!

PROFILE

I am a 34-year-old college student, mom, friend and all around sarcastic and fun loving person. I'm going to school to be a nurse. I recently quit a high paying job from home to get back into the hospital setting and to get my feet wet in nursing. I work on the Maternal Child Unit which includes the birthing center, perinatal care and Pediatrics. I LOVE IT! These last few years have been all about changes in my life. Although they have required great sacrifice, I know it will be worth it when I'm through. I have a great life and great family and friends and occasionally bitch about my white trash neighbors. Mostly here you will find rants and raves about various people, places, and circumstances. ENJOY!

Loves: Nursing, chocolate, my daughter, family and friends, diet coke, Grey's Anatomy (DUH!), being out of my front patio in the summertime with my neighbors, babies, US Weekly magazine, reality TV, being smart and being a mother.
Hates: Chemistry, online cyberstalkers who have no life but to be online 24/7 causing drama, my white trash neighbors, pepporoni pizza, mice, bugs, when it's too hot outside and I get sweaty, seafood, backstabbing people, liars, crooks, and when people play the "victim" and whine 24/7.
