I warmed up last night's Carlos O'Kelly's leftovers and eathing it with the brandnew silverware we bought. I guess it's called flatware huh? I never understood why it is called that. But we got a new set and it's very cute. I haven't had new silverware since I was probably married. And we all know that was like light years ago. Today as I was walking out of school I could smell fresh cut grass. You have no idea how much I love that smell. It means spring and summer and new growth. I love spring. I thrive on it. I love the promise for sunnier skies and warmer weather. This brings me back to last summer when I was outside almost every night. We hung out on the patio with the neighbors, drank our pop, smoked our cigarettes and just had a great time. We laughed and joked around and didn't go inside until midnight sometimes because we were having so much fun. Now when I think of summer I think of that. I'm ready for that again. I need that. Winter seemed so long and cold and dreary, I think it took its toll on me. Although I can't say I want to be sitting on my patio here in this building the entire summer, I know I'll be outside all summer. Impromptu grill outs happened almost on a nightly basis around here. We sat out and grilled, only to be joined by the neighbors. We had extra hot dogs and hamburgers so why not stay and eat with us? It was fun, let me tell you. I'm thinking I really need that in my life right now. I'm so caught up in the routine of things and that needs to change. So bring on the sun and the fun! How about last night's Idol? When it looked like Jordin was being voted off Jax and I came unglued. She is one of the best as far as I'm concerned and if she went home....I'd be pissed. But the damn people at FOX thought they'd try to trick us. Damn TV bastards. They don't need to mess with my heart like that. I could have gone into cardiac arrest!! I would have sent the bill to FOX, believe that shit. Deadliest Catch is still rocking my world. Sig and Edgar Hansen from the Northwestern were on Jay Leno the other night. And it was so fun to see them sooooo out of their element. They are on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight and we're taping that too. I can't get enough of those brothers, and I can't get enough of that show. That's about all I have really. The weather is warming up after a few days of cold and rain and things are looking up finally. I am a 34-year-old college student, mom, friend and all around sarcastic and fun loving person. I'm going to school to be a nurse. I recently quit a high paying job from home to get back into the hospital setting and to get my feet wet in nursing. I work on the Maternal Child Unit which includes the birthing center, perinatal care and Pediatrics. I LOVE IT! These last few years have been all about changes in my life. Although they have required great sacrifice, I know it will be worth it when I'm through. I have a great life and great family and friends and occasionally bitch about my white trash neighbors. Loves: Nursing, chocolate, my daughter, family and friends, diet coke, Grey's Anatomy (DUH!), being out of my front patio in the summertime with my neighbors, babies, US Weekly magazine, reality TV, being smart and being a mother. Hates: Chemistry, online cyberstalkers who have no life but to be online 24/7 causing drama, my white trash neighbors, pepporoni pizza, mice, bugs, when it's too hot outside and I get sweaty, seafood, backstabbing people, liars, crooks, and when people play the "victim" and whine 24/7.
